   Jingle Cat’s early work is still relatively inaccessible to the uninitiated, but their later work’s generally lightened theme and tone make this usually avant-garde group palatable to a more casual audience. It can be argued that their later work is worse off by eliminating the fugue-like depth present in their earlier albums, but on closer examination, the critic will find that a refreshing variety in tonal/chord structure has replaced it, lending much needed intellectual depth.
